ED Attaches ₹442 Crore More in Gameskraft and RummyCulture Probe

Home » ED Attaches ₹442 Crore More in Gameskraft and RummyCulture Probe

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached assets worth ₹442.35 crore in its money-laundering investigation involving Gameskraft Technologies and the RummyCulture app. The order, issued on September 25, 2026, takes the value of assets attached, frozen or seized in the case to about ₹2,843 crore, according to the agency’s September statement reported by PTI.

This is an investigation, not a final finding of guilt. The attachment is a provisional step under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, and the allegations against the companies and people named in the investigation remain subject to the legal process.

What the latest ED action covers

PTI reported that the latest attachment includes fixed deposits, commercial shops, a villa and residential properties held through family members, family trusts and associated entities of Gameskraft shareholders. The ED said the investigation arose from multiple FIRs alleging cheating.

The agency has alleged that Gameskraft Technologies and RummyTime Technologies operated real-money games under brands including RummyCulture, RummyPrime, Playship and RummyTime. It has also made allegations about automated programs, withdrawal practices and the movement of proceeds. Those are the ED’s allegations; this report does not treat them as established facts.

Why rummy users should separate a brand page from a current claim

Old app pages, cached APK listings and social posts can stay online long after a product’s legal or operational position changes. They are not proof that a cash game is available, that a wallet balance can be withdrawn, or that a link is official.

India’s current framework prohibits online money games and their payment facilitation, while recognising separate categories for esports and online social games. For the wider legal context, read our India online gaming rules explainer. Our earlier Gameskraft and RummyCulture ED update covers the May search-and-seizure action.

Practical checks for former cash-game users

  • Use the publisher’s verified channels rather than a forwarded APK or Telegram “support” account.
  • Do not send a deposit, OTP or remote-access code to someone claiming they can release an old balance.
  • Keep transaction records, screenshots and the date of every support request.
  • Be cautious of pages that promise a quick refund, a new cash-room login or a guaranteed withdrawal for a fee.

If you are comparing apps rather than following this case, start with our rummy app comparison page and the current rummy app-status guide. Both are more useful than treating a historic logo or an old search result as a live product confirmation.
